Being big tortoises fans, the fate of these protected animals means a lot to us.
Therefore these major goals of the breeding center:
Keeping this species from extinction by breeding them in captivity so that catching animals in the wild will no longer occur.
If needed, people can always count on our experience whenever they want advice or support concerning the raising and health of their tortoises. Once their animals are old enough to breed with, we try to introduce them into one of our breeding-programmes.
The center has two breeding sites - one is located in Eastern Flanders, the other one in Antwerp. On each site we did our best tot create a pleasant and as natural as possible habitat for our tortoises.
To guarantee their peace and quiet, the sites are not open to the public.

We have a Class 2 Environmental Permit for breeding tortoises.
